Fleet Driver Training

Do you employ drivers?  If so, you probably have a number of headaches the running costs of your fleet. On a purely financial basis:

  • Are you concerned about fuel costs? Could your drivers be a bit more frugal? 

  • Are you paying a fortune for insurance?

  • Are your cars and staff spending time off the road due to accidents?

Then there are your liability issues. Statistically, every day ten people die on Britain's roads, four of them are on company business at the time.   If one of those was to be one of your staff, what would be the impact on your company?  

  • Could you manage without them? 

  • What would the impact be on you financially?

  • What about their family? how responsible would you feel?  

  • Have you really made your best effort for their safety and training?  

In today's ever more litigious society it is vital to be able to prove that you have provided the required training for your staff to do their jobs.  Also there are ever tightening Health and Safety regulations, where a company car is now seen as an extension to the office.

What about your responsibilities?

  • Do you check your drivers' licences on a regular basis?

  • Do you provide ongoing technical training, yet overlook driver training, despite the fact that some of your staff spend more time on the road than in the office?

  • Are you aware that if a car registered to your company is caught speeding and you do not or cannot identify the driver then the company can be fined in excess of £1000!
