Pass Plus

What is Pass Plus?

Pass Plus is a continuation of driving lessons designed for those who have passed their L test within the last year and who wish to gain further knowledge and experience, particularly in driving circumstances that may not have been covered in their normal lessons, such as:

  • Night time driving

  • Bad weather driving

  • Motorway driving

  • City centre driving

  • Country road driving

The course has been designed by the DSA and is endorsed by a number of insurance companies, many of whom offer significant discounts for Pass Plus qualifies drivers, up to one year of no claims discount!  Pass Plus can be completed at any time up to one year after passing your L test.

The six hours of training can be done in a one day block, two times three hour blocks, three times two hour blocks or any combination to suit you.  Contact me for availability.

How much does the course cost?

The normal price of the Pass Plus course is £150 in West Lothian and £175 in Edinburgh.  However, if you consider that an hour long motorway lesson alone is going to cost £25 then you can see that the course is good value.  This price reflects facts that a higher mileage will be covered than in normal lessons and that this is a six hour course.  However residents of West Lothian should see below.

Special Offer.

Under the West Drive scheme, promoted by the Road Safety Unit of  "F" Division, Lothian and Borders Police, a special offer is available on Pass Plus, known as the West Drive Scheme.  Complete the course and fill in a couple of questionnaires, agree to fill in another questionnaire in six months time and a £55 cash-back incentive is offered, making the course price fantastic value.  Compare that to the insurance savings you can make and it has to be worth while.

Who Supports Pass Plus?
